The royal family is looking forward to brighter days ahead.
In a new post on the royal family’s official Instagram account on Saturday, The Firm shared beautiful photos from the Buckingham Palace garden, along with a hopeful message in honor of the first day of spring.
The gallery post contains four beautiful nature photos taken by photographer John Campbell in Buckingham Palace Garden. The main image is of a dreamy, golden sunrise over the lake in Buckingham Palace Garden and is followed by three more photos highlighting the beauty of the Queen’s garden: a tazetta narcissus, a field of pheasant eye daffodils in the garden’s pasture, and a curved path leading to the Rose Garden of the palace.
“Today is the first official spring day, because we are all looking at brighter days ahead,” reads the caption of the report. “The garden in The Queen’s London home has seen many changes over the course of a year. Despite its urban location, the garden is home to a remarkable variety of flora and fauna.”
The photos that appear in the Instagram post will be included in the upcoming book, Buckingham Palace: A Royal Garden, which follows a year in the life of the Royal Garden at Buckingham Palace.
The book, which contains garden tips from gardener Mark Lane of Buckingham Palace, as well as royal anecdotes, will be published by the Royal Collection Trust in April. “The tastes and skills of princes and gardeners over the centuries have helped shape this hidden oasis in central London,” explains the Trust’s official description of the book. “Today, the garden plays an important role in the busy calendar of royal events, including the much-loved tradition of The Queen’s Garden Party. Watch this working garden grow and develop through the changing seasons, and accommodate a variety of wildlife, flora and fauna. fauna, from the national collection of mulberries to the royal beehives. ‘
