The release of Guilty Gear Strive has been delayed until June 11, 2021

Arc system works has just announced that Guilty Gear Strive will be postponed until June 11, 2021. The game was originally scheduled to be released on April 9, 2021 – it’s just 37 days from today.

“We have made the difficult decision to move the release date of ‘Guilty Gear Strive’ (previously planned for April 9, 2021) to June 11, 2021,” Arc System Works said on Twitter. This extends the wait by another 63 days.

It has been revealed that the reason for the delay is that Arc System Works can use the feedback received after the Open Beta test to make the best game possible.

“Since we received valuable feedback after the recent Open Beta test, we want to take most of this opportunity to offer the best game possible,” Arc System Works continues. “We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as the online lobbies and the server’s stability.”

The beta servers in particular could not handle the traffic that came in during the scheduled beta time. This resulted in Arc System Works extending the beta period so that players could properly participate in the Open Beta test.

“We believe it’s best to use the extra time to improve the quality of the game and provide a better experience to all our players,” said Arc System Works. “Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
