The release date of Galaxy Watch 4 is reported in Q2 2021

Rumors surrounding the next Galaxy Watch series are getting louder and louder, and it looks like we will get official answers sooner rather than later. According to a fairly reliable Samsung tipper, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be released within the next few months.

Ice Universe claims that Samsung is not preparing one, but two new smartwatches this year. These include a sequel to last year’s Galaxy Watch 3, which is much better than scheduled, as well as a overdue successor to the Galaxy Watch Active 2 launched in 2019. It’s a bit surprising that Samsung is releasing two watches this year, as the last few releases have come one at a time. This makes sense in the long run, however, as the brand was never set up due to the release cycle.

The real predictor here, however, is that Samsung is believed to be planning a release of this Galaxy Watch 4 series during the second quarter of 2021. The timeline starts in April but runs until the end of June.

Samsung has not yet officially announced anything, but rumors have opened up the possibility that these smartwatches will drop Tizen and instead switch to Android, possibly even Wear OS. Blood glucose monitoring is apparently also on the table.
