The pursuit of the murder suspect ends in an accident in Pomona

POMONA, California (KABC) – A fleeing driver crashed into a tractor-trailer in Pomona, ending a dangerous and erratic chase Tuesday night in Riverside and Los Angeles counties.

Several law enforcement vehicles were at the scene when the murder suspect crashed into a pickup truck around 7pm and surrendered at an intersection in Pomona. A passenger in the truck also went out and was arrested.

During the chase, the suspect at one point drove on the sidewalk and came close to other cars on the road. The suspect also ran red lights and drove on the wrong side of the road in oncoming traffic.

AIR7 HD was chased around 6pm when the driver was speeding on Highway 60. Before reaching Pomona, the suspect was in the eastern San Gabriel Valley area and was driving more than 75 km / h with several officers behind.

Delegates from Riverside County and the California Highway Patrol Units were pursuing.
