The positivity rate in Utah continues to rise; 173 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Department of Health reported 173 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, with one more dead.

The seven-day moving average for the percentage of ‘people above people’ positivity now stands at 7.1, a number that has continued to rise over the past week.

Last Wednesday, the percentage of positivity stood at 6.7 percent.

As of Monday, 1,498,039 vaccines have been administered in Utah and 121 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.
