Can you have a job with a lot of satisfaction that also pays six figures? Yes, if you choose wisely.

US News & World Report got an answer for work that pays $ 100,000 a year or more. “There is no single job that suits us all, but many of the best have some features in common,” reads the annual ranking of ‘best works’ for 2021. The researchers looked at jobs with the largest number of projects and the largest percentages of the opening period from 2019 to 2029, as determined by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. They then looked at a range of other factors rated on a scale of 1 to 10, including stress levels, future career prospects, unemployment rate and a projected ten-year growth in the number of jobs.

A separate Glassdoor ranking of ’50 Best Jobs in America ‘in 2020 ranked leading engineers (computer programmers earning an average salary of $ 105,240 per year) at number 1 – leading data scientists from the no. 3 to the no. 4th place after four years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. They were followed by Java developer ($ 83,589), computer scientist ($ 107,801), product manager ($ 117,713) and devops engineer ($ 107,320).

The Glassdoor score was determined by weighing three factors equally: earning potential (average annual base salary), overall job satisfaction and number of jobs. To be considered for a job title, it must receive at least 100 salary reports and at least 100 job satisfaction ratings shared by U.S. employees in one year. C-suite and internal level work were excluded from the data.
