The next patch from Warzone will lower DMR

It won’t be long before the DMR’s reign of terror ends in Call Of Duty: Warzone. Raven Software announced on Twitter that the next gun balance update will be “coming soon” with the excessive rifle hit by the nerf hammer, along with three other rifles that cause pain: the Type 63 rifle, Mac-10 SMG and dual Diamatti pistol.

Since all of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops weapons were folded into Warzone in December during the Cold War, players did not long think the DMR tactical rifle was head and shoulders above the rest. I tried myself, and my word, it’s something. You would think that a semi-automatic weapon would have a downside, but no, pull the trigger fast enough and you pull someone out frighteningly fast. And with little setbacks and high accuracy to get started, it’s no wonder players flock to the thing en masse.

The Type 63 is basically the DMR’s more sloppy counterpart; not so good, but still very strong. Then there’s the Mac-10, a rectangle that shatters – just flarde from near. Not to mention the double Diamatti pistols. It’s a firearm with fire that requires you to point vaguely in the direction of your opponent, quickly click and bam with your mouse, it’s a tango down.

It is noteworthy that these balance changes are exclusive to Warzone, and therefore these weapons will not be reduced for the Cold War multiplayer modes. A strong decision in my books because it looks good to me in regular multiplayer and it wants to look a bit like putting their stats around the table.

More than thirty weapons were stuck in Warzone during the Cold War, so balance issues were almost inevitable, as Cold War statistics differ from Warzone’s and Modern Warfare’s offerings. Honestly, I’m surprised more weapons weren’t completely broken, who knows what the meta next is going to dominate.
