Star Wars! This is popular! In particular, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is popular. Yes, the new one. It was certainly once insulted for its aggressive microtransactions and outboxes, but after years of updates, it is now crucial and enjoys a dedicated community. But you do not have to take my word for the quality of it – it’s the next gift in Epic’s regular range of free computer games.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 – Celebration Edition is free on the regular Epic Games Store promotion page from January 14th at 8:00 PST / 11:00 EST / 16:00 GMT and will be available at the same times until January 21st.
The Celebration Edition was launched in 2019 just before the Rise of Skywalker movie and contains the full collection of customization content released for the game up to that point. Of course, it also includes all the free updates released for the game, including many new maps, heroes, and additional content.
Battlefront 2 updates came to an end in 2020, though modders kept the content going.
