A new computer version of Kidney: Automata, part of the Become As God’s Expenditure, has just been released in the Microsoft Store and Game Pass. And early reports is it, unlike the version available on Steam, this one actually work.

The original PC release of the game on Steam, in 2017, was a notorious gate, so much so that fans had to step in and work on ‘mods’ which solved things that should have worked at release, from frameworks to solution issues.

Just as notorious as the port was the apparent unwillingness of publisher Square Enix to do anything to fix the game, and let it wane on the market for years, warts and all, despite Automatic critical and commercial success.

It changed this week with the computers Become As God’s Expenditure– First released on Xbox in 2018 – which early user reporting is just fine, and it’s probably a direct gateway to it enhanced Xbox edition, and not … from which collection of red hair and broken glass the original computer version was made.

This computer version of Become like gods is available on Game Pass, but also directly in the Microsoft Store if you are going to read it in the future and it has been removed from the subscription service.

Note: While it may appear to be a better version than the original, there are still things (like a fps track) that could fix or improve the FAR mod, so if you still want to check it out (or see if it works at all with this version, maybe it will not!), can you find it here.
