The National Guard soldier who was found dead in Washington, DC earlier this week has been identified as specialist Justin Grennell.
Grennell, 26, of Marcellus, New York, was reacting to his hotel room in Washington, DC, on Thursday by his roommate who was trying to revive him before calling 911, a local Syracuse news agency reported.

Police in the Metropolitan Republic are still investigating the death, but a spokesman for the National Guard in New York did not suspect there was foul play.

Grennell was part of the massive security effort assigned to the U.S. Capitol after the January 6 attack.
