The National Guard is looking for centers to evacuate Education staff

La National Guard of Puerto Rico (GNPR) solicits high, juves, the cooperation of the alcaldes to identify sites that can be used as evacuation centers for the magisterium and the teachers of public and private schools, as well as universities.

The expectant is that these facilities can be listed at the age of 18, according to GNPR general manager José Reyes.

The petition is pending, as part of a meeting between the Associated and Federal Chambers, with the conciliation of the GNPR and the Department of Health.

“It is a large population, which will be a separate initiative from the other regional evacuation centers,” he said, adding that there are already 42,000 employees in the area. Department of Education (DE), in addition to staff of private colleges, universities and pre-school centers.

The teaching staff and non-teaching staff will be present at the same time as women taking part in sub-phase 1b, which employs approximately 400,000 people aged 65 and over and around 200,000 people working as first responder staff such as police, bombers and emergency medicines.

The nursing staff of the DE will start corresponding correspondence to be certified as vaccine providers on the part of the Centers for Control and Prevention of Injuries (CDC, and English). There are 900 health professionals who will be distributed in the regional centers to administer the vacancies to the education staff.

Salud’s appointed secretary, Carlos Mellado, recalls that the opening of the schools is conditioned by the fact that the staff can be vacated, that the number of contagios is appropriated and that the new virus will be detected.

“We have a meta-pork if we do not have a meta-pomegranate to be able to open the schools (during) another year,” said Mellado.
