The name of Mandy Moore’s baby has a very sweet meaning

Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith have just welcomed their firstborn, August Harrison Goldsmith. When they think of baby names, they do not just look at a list for inspiration.

They gave a lot of attention and care to baby Gus’ name, as Mandy shared on Instagram, where she explained the meaning behind it.

And it’s so sweet: ‘It was last August when @taylordawesgoldsmith and I found out we had a son (it’s also Taylor’s birth month) and we always loved the name,’ Mandy shared. “It was therefore completed very early in our book.”

But the first and last letters of August’s name also have a special meaning for the artists. “For our November anniversary, T gave me this blanket with the ‘A’ (for Amanda), made from extra material from my wedding dress and ‘T’ (for Taylor) from his wedding shirt,” she explained.

“[It] feels like a very fitting merger of our whole story, “Mandy wrote, adding:” I can not wait to convey this one day to our sweet August. 💙💙💙💙 “

Just yesterday, Mandy announced August’s arrival with the very cute first look at him. “He was punctual and arrived immediately on his deadline, much to the delight of his parents,” she wrote on Instagram. “We were willing to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.”
