The Microsoft Surface Duo gets a huge price reduction before the EU launch

I really like the design of the Microsoft Surface Duo. I like the concept of foldable phones, mostly because the design means the screen is not scratched. Although I’m careful with my smartphones, I’m also a clumsy person, which is why I’ll drop my devices sooner. While the Surface Duo is not a properly foldable device as the screen itself does not fold, but the design philosophy is just like the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Z Flip. While Microsoft was preparing for the Surface Duo launch in Europe, they decided to lower the price of their device by a whopping $ 400.

The Microsoft Surface Duo’s dual screen setup is quite unique among smartphones, and our Surface Duo review calls it a multitasker’s dream. While not getting the best reception everywhere, Microsoft has updated the Microsoft Launcher to help with Duo’s functionality, and it seems to be bearing fruit.

Granted, the original $ 1,400 MSRP still sold the Surface Duo hard. With the best flagship smartphones that are less money and usually work without problems, it can be hard to drop so much money on something new like the Duo with two screens. However, with the updates and the price ranging from $ 400 to $ 999, the device becomes much more attractive.

You can pick up the Surface Duo at Best Buy, Amazon or directly from Microsoft at this reduced price. I would personally recommend Best Buy, as if you are activating today, you are getting an extra price of $ 50, and who does not like more savings?

While the European market launch is next week, this price drop only applies to the US market, and the new markets will still have to pay their currency equivalent of the full market price. This is a strange situation, but let’s hope that the EU will soon get a similar price reduction.
