The Master Chief Collection release for seemingly teasing new platforms

A new tease from 343 Industries pointed out Halo: The Master Chief Collection may come to new platforms soon. Although the details of this teasing are not really clear at the moment, we need to find out in the coming weeks what the studio indicates.

In a new blog on the official Halo website, 343 Industries has announced that it will undertake new flights (also known as betas) for Halo: The Master Chief Collection end of February or beginning of March. Although full details of the flight are not provided, 343 did say that this upcoming phase will likely give players “a new place and a way to play.” The wording is rather mysterious, but it makes it seem as if the beloved, remastered collection of the Halo series could come to another platform.

Before you get too excited about the prospect of Halo: The Master Chief Collection land on a device like the Nintendo Switch, there’s probably a better explanation for what’s being teased here. To begin with, many fans have been asking for a custom game browser for some time. This add-on will allow people to join custom multiplayer games at random, which will be great.

Conversely, there is also the chance that Halo: The Master Chief Collection can get to a brand new PC store window. At the moment, the game is currently available to download via Steam and the Microsoft Store, but the Epic Games Store in particular is not available in this series. As such, it can reason Halo: MCC may come to EGS soon.

Regardless of what is being teased here, 343 said he will share more details about this upcoming flight as soon as it has an actual start date in mind. Furthermore, it was stressed that “things can change” within the coming weeks, which means that this new way of playing the collection will not actually appear in the upcoming flight.

If you want to take part in this flight, you can also sign up to take part in the Halo Insider program to take part in the action. The flight itself should also be accessible on all platforms for Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC if it starts live.

So what do you think this new preview is for? Halo: The Master Chief Collection? Make sure I share my thoughts in the comments or on Twitter @ MooreMan12.
