According to police, Texas police began a chase Thursday after a mass shooting killed at least one person and injured several people, some in critical condition.

Police officers and local first responders responded to the shooting at Stone City Drive 350 in Bryan, Texas, before 3 p.m.

The Eagle, a local newspaper, reported that authorities were at the scene at the corporate offices of Kent Moore Cabinets. The wounded were taken to the St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital brought.

Lt. Bryan police officer Jason James said the shooter is not in custody.

Employees of the company were questioned and witnesses identified a suspect, James said.

The bureau for alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives sent dogs to the scene of the shooting, spokesman Deon Washington said. He said the situation was developing rapidly.

Bryan is about 100 km northwest of Houston and next to College Station, home of A&M University.
