It only takes ten minutes, tops
Super Mario Bros. 35 still driving trucks and getting closer to the expiration date. But before that time, Nintendo has a quick little event in store for us in the offing.
The challenge? Kill 3.5 million bowsers from 23:00 PT on 18 January to 22:59 PT on 25 January. Or simpler, you only need to kill one Bowser to get a potential reward of 350 Platinum points (which can be used on My Nintendo on physical or digital goods).
You can defeat your Bowser by default mode or the new event; which I would strongly recommend as it is important to find Bowser faster. I’ve held the event a few times and since you’re starting with a firefly, you can get Bowser out pretty quickly if you run into one (whether it’s on a castle level or by someone sending it dangerously).
Just to be sure, I took a few courses and took about five minutes over the course of about 10 minutes. It’s easy! If you have Switch Online, you have Mario 35, so you can just as well dive in, get it right and (probably) take advantage of the 350 platinum advantage.
Since these events can sometimes be a bit subtle in terms of timelines, we have provided the official documentation below, just in case. Make a reminder to do so! This is one of the simplest ways to get more platinum, which you can use on such things.
