The magnificent $ 15 million ‘Schitt’s Creek’ mansion is for sale

“Let’s go to bed and pray we do not wake up.”

Those were the words of the only Moira Rose – played with an out-of-the-top style by Catherine O’Hara – after she and her disgruntled and displaced family in a sloppy motel in the Pop TV sitcom “Schitt’s Creek” ended up.

But before the Roses gave up their luxurious lives, they lived in a glorious mechanical home in Ontario.

The actual mansion used in the series is on sale for $ 15 million – and it’s great.

The house, known as the La Belle Maison, has 12 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms, spanning a vast 24,000 square feet. It hit the market on January 27, although it has been in and out of the market for the past few years.

The home was built in 2012 in Toronto’s upscale St Andrew-Winfields neighborhood. The 0.55-acre property combines old craftsmanship with 21st-century modern luxury amenities.

The three storey house has marble stairs, beautiful balustrade balconies and carved limestone and frescoes inspired by the Sistine Chapel.

There are a number of rooms that can be entertained on a large scale, including a large, formal dining room, a double reception room and a large gourmet kitchen leading to a private patio. The lower level offers a modern feel for banquet gatherings or private weddings.
