A Robotech Game Boy Advance game has appeared on a new platform. Robotech: The Macross Saga HD Edition appears on several Nintendo Switch eShops. The Australian eShop list is even available via browsers. It costs AUD 12.99. It is also available in Italy. [Thanks, Resetera!]
Robotech: The Macross Saga HD is a side-scrolling shoot’em inspired by the Macross Saga. There are 11 playable characters, but only five are available immediately. Several vehicles are available, from Veritech to Destroids. Like the original Game Boy Advance version, it offers multiplayer. However, only up to two people can play together.
The product page provides minimal details about the Switch version of the game. There seem to be no new features. It seems that the most important change is the new visual direction. It leaves the Game Boy Advance sprites for a new HD look. A number of screenshots provide a glimpse into the new presentation. One picture also shows the complete character grid that returns.
