Webcams were among the pieces of technology that quickly became scarce when the pandemic took place. Even now, it is still difficult to find quality webcams on the internet. Although we did not give the full review treatment to the Brio, a few Engadget staff members used this webcam regularly and were satisfied with it. It is one of Logitech’s top webcams and it supports 4K video at 30fps, as well as 1080p video at 60fps. It’s a much better quality than what you’ll get with most built – in webcams, so you’ll look brighter and brighter when you put back-to-back video calls. While Logitech made the StreamCam specifically for gamers, the Brio has the specifications to be a decent streaming camera as well.
The Brio has a wide field of view of 90 degrees, but you can adjust it from 68 to 78 degrees if you want to cut out the rubbish around you and get a closer chance during video conferencing. It also has light-correcting technology with HDR that can keep you in the shade, even if you do not have good lighting in your workspace.
And Windows Hello is also included with this camera. This means you can use it to sign in with face recognition when you’re on a Windows computer. Although this feature is fairly common on Windows laptops, it is much harder to find on desktops. This is a convenient feature to have if you are eager to leave passwords behind. Although most people would only find it with Logitech’s C920 webcams, it’s hard to beat a camera that’s actually in stock right now – especially if it’s for sale.
