It’s official: Kim Kardashian sues for divorce from Kanye West

A Los Angeles County Supreme Court spokesman confirmed to The Daily Beast that divorce papers were filed Friday. The divorce, first reported by TMZ, was on the horizon for a better part of a year, while Kardashian spent most of her time in Los Angeles and West on his farm in Wyoming. responds immediately to The Daily Beast’s request for comment. The couple, one of the most famous American celebrities living today, have been married for almost seven years and have four children – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. Kardashian is looking for a joint custody agreement in which she will undertake the children most of the time, and according to TMZ, West is likely to agree. Their marriage is subject to a prenuptial agreement that will divide their assets. A source told E! News, which airs Keeping With the Kardashians, that the husband and wife are “completely done and no longer talking.” escalated when West’s disastrous presidential career raged during fearless campaign events and revealed the family’s most private affairs. He said he wanted to divorce and that his wife had almost decided to end the pregnancy that eventually resulted in the birth of Northwestern. Kardashian later said the musician had undergone a serious mental health episode and asked the public for sympathy. Undefined The divorce is the third from Kardashian and the first from West. They met in 2003, dated almost a decade later and married in 2014 in Italy. He has occasionally performed in her family’s flagship show over the years – though he later ran on ‘Reality TV’ as ‘unbearable’, and wrote songs like ‘Cold’ about her in 2012. She starred in the controversial 2013 music video for his song “Bound 2.” Her family described the two as ‘soulmates’ while they were dating and after they were married, but West would punish the family as manipulative and even call Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, ‘Kris Jong-Un’. The unification of the two A-listers involved dramatic shifts in their lives and American culture. Both have become more explicitly political beings since their marriage. West voiced support for former President Donald Trump while Kardashian voted for Joe Biden. Both visited Trump separately in the White House – West to express his support, Kardashian to plead for the conversion of the prison sentence. TMZ reports that their different policies have been taken into account in the divorce. Each also endured crises during the marriage. Kardashian’s first two pregnancies were full of complications, so much so that the couple had their next two children via surrogates. She was robbed and taken hostage in Paris in 2016, and he was admitted to hospital in the same year for a psychiatric emergency when he was struggling with bipolar disorder. Their public activities have also changed. Kardashian’s show of the same name ends this year and she is studying to become a lawyer, a result of her work on criminal law reform. She created a popular mobile game and several consumer product lines and then folded while she and West were together. After being on the brink of bankruptcy four years ago, West has grown into a full-fledged fashion mogul and nearly billionaire with his Yeezy range of clothing and sneakers.
