The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Comes to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo bring The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Link’s high-flying 2011 Wii adventure, to the Switch later this year. The Switch port of Skyward Sword offers a major visual upgrade of the Wii version and includes a new control scheme that uses the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers. The game is available on July 16 and can now be pre-ordered on the Nintendo eShop. Players can grab Skyward Swordtheme Joy-Con administrators as well.

The remake will refresh the footage and optimize the game for the Nintendo Switch – with a similar treatment as Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Eiji Aonuma announced via Nintendo Direct that players can play it while waiting for the Breath of nature prosecute.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was generally well received by critics at the time. Reviewers praised the game’s story and gameplay, while others praised the game for the sometimes subtle movement moves and the strict adherence to the formula of The Legend of Zelda series. Skyward Sword was re-released via the Wii U Virtual Console in 2016, and the game influenced the design of its successor, Breath of nature according to Nintendo Switch and Wii U, according to Aonuma.
