If you are a fan of the Sega series Jet Set Radio, one of the games you want to watch is Bomb Rush Cyberfunk.
This is done by Team Reptile (the developer behind games like Deadly League and Deadly league blood) and contains music by Hideki Naganuma – the man who composed for Sega’s Jet Set Radio series.
This week is actually the 19th anniversary of Jet Set Radio Future and accordingly, Team Reptile dropped an “official trailer” for the upcoming title. It also provided insight into the world of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk:
“Team Reptile brings you Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, 1 second per second of highly advanced funk styles. In a world out of the mind of Dion Koster, where self-designed crews are equipped with custom boost packs, new heights of graffiti are reached. Start your own cypher and dance, paint, trick, face with the cops and place your claim on the extrusions and cavities of a sprawling metropolis in an alternative future set on the musical brainwaves of Hideki Naganuma. ‘
Although there has been no talk of a Nintendo Switch version yet, the developer has previously confirmed that the game will come to consoles and computers. In this latest update, Team Reptile also mentioned how it intends to release the game on ‘all relevant platforms’ in 2022. The switch is relevant enough, right?
