The latest version of unc0ver can jailbreak the iPhone 12 series and iOS 14.3

Compared to Android users, where rooting is a simple process and unlocks a plethora of features for your device (and a very respectable amount of customization and functionality can be added to your phone, even if you are not rooted), iOS users really do not have it that easy. The iOS ecosystem is very locked up and Apple is working overtime to ensure that it stays that way. But there is a way out of this walled garden, and it’s called jail time. Unfortunately, jailbreak is much harder than rooting on Android, but last year we introduced unc0ver, a new iOS jailbreak that has become a big deal because it used a zero-day exploit to get phones that then has just jailbreak, to jailbreak. iOS 13.5 released.

There’s a new version of this jailbreak in town, and it’s working from iOS 11.0 to iOS 14.3, which means you can easily jailbreak the newly released iPhone 12 series, including the iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max. In fact, at the time of writing, users have reported that they have managed to easily jailbreak the new devices. The new version of unc0ver is just as simple to install as the previous versions: download AltStore, download it to your iOS device and use it to install unc0ver, which will then jailbreak your smartphone effortlessly.

Jailbreaking opens the floodgates for iOS compatibility and it also allows you to add extra features to your iOS smartphone. Check out our initial coverage on the unc0ver project to learn more about its developers, some handy mods you can try out, and what exactly you can do if you remove the walls of iOS to unlock its full potential. Lots of amazing and exciting mods have emerged thanks to jailbreak last year, and we are excited to see what will emerge this time around.
