The latest update of the Galaxy S21 firmware may have addressed the poor battery life

The launch of the Galaxy S21 series was not without flaws for some customers in Exynos regions, and you may recall that last week we raised an issue regarding the security level of February 2021 and the possibility that it would be negative effect on the flagship’s battery life for some owners. Fortunately, Samsung was aware of the issue and the company may have already addressed it with the latest firmware update.

Samsung is now releasing a second firmware update in February for the Galaxy S21 series, and many users who have previously experienced battery life issues are now reporting via the XDA Developer Forums that the problem has been dealt with. Note that some users are still reporting the same issues as before, and perhaps Samsung’s new update did not address the issue at all or for everyone affected.

The new update can be identified by the firmware version G99xBXXU1AUB6. It is being expanded in dozens of countries – too many to list here – and readers can refer to our firmware archive for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra to verify whether the update for their phones in their regions can be downloaded. As always, you can also check the firmware by opening Institutions on your phone and access to the Software update department and tap Download and install.

Since our phones did not exhibit the above battery life issues in the first place, we also did not notice any major changes in the autonomy after this new firmware update. We’ll keep you posted if anything comes up, and you’re welcome to do so in the comments below.
