If you’re a OnePlus 8T owner, you’ve undoubtedly familiar with the rubbish that the OxygenOS 11.0.6.7 update released last week. Today’s update, with version number 11.0.6.8 for India and North American markets and 11.0.6.9 for European markets, is aimed at correcting the bugs introduced by the update.
This update has virtually the same change log as 11.0.6.7; it is even still at the security level of November 2020. However, there is one new point that says that the problem with the abnormally stationary media player has been resolved. This was the biggest issue with 11.0.6.7 (and the subsequent 11.0.6.8 update on the EU market, which apparently did not fix anything). Since the update has just been released, the question of whether the issue has been fixed is still a bit unclear. One commenter on the OnePlus Forums message said the video taken from his previous phone is still freezing. It is said that so far there are only a handful of answers on the thread.
As usual with OnePlus updates, the OTA is being rolled out slowly, with a broader implementation over a few days. Here’s the hope that OnePlus 8T owners can watch videos and listen to music properly again.
