Since digital cameras drove away film cameras, photo albums have almost become a thing of the past. What used to be obligatory to see your photos is an option you often forget. However, Google Photos tries to offer a similar experience with Memories digitally. The feature, which recently showed people a photo collection of children in the sun, is picking up new stories – ‘Sand and Sea’ and ‘Tasty treats’.
The first one has been appearing for a while and is a variety of photos taken on the beach or by the sea. Although mostly accurate with his choice, an image of Lake tahoe managed to find his way into my collection.
The second one looks new and is a photo album of cakes, pancakes, cupcakes and other desserts. Interestingly, the first photo it chose was of Google’s Android lawn images, all of which are desserts or sweet treats.
While I do not mind showing photos of high-calorie foods, I am not sure if someone on a strict diet would feel the same way.
