Tiger Woods was more seriously injured in his car accident in February than initial reports indicated, including that he was ‘knocked unconscious’ and ‘had an open fracture’, came to light on Wednesday.
The gruesome wounds of the golf legend were set out in an incident report filed by the first Los Angeles respondents, obtained by TMZ Sports.
“Stopped unconscious, tear in the lower jaw at the front, bruised right and left rib cage, broken right tibia and fibula, possible right ankle injury,” reads the report under the heading entitled “describes injuries.”
The report also gives more details about Woods’ leg injury, according to the outlet, ‘open fracture, middle shaft on his right leg, below the knee’.
Woods drove almost twice the speed limit when he lost control of his SUV, drove over the median and hit a tree at 75 mph in Rancho Palos Verdes, officials said Tuesday after checking the black box of the vehicle has.
The golfer broke several bones in his lower right leg when the SUV overturned. Investigators said he was braking too late.
