The former provincial governor of the NM warns that ‘the same problems’ will arise again if Biden turns back the border wall construction

Former New Mexico Republican Gov. Susana Martinez warned on Tuesday that it was “very wrong” for the Biden government to halt the construction of the southern border wall and call the fence a piece of our country’s security. .

“We are definitely going to have the same problems we had at the beginning of President Trump’s administration,” Martinez told America’s Newsroom. “There was not enough wall, and there were not enough tools to make sure our borders were protected.”

ARIZONA SHERIFF RIPS BODEN’S IMMIGRATION ORDERS: ‘POLITICAL THEATER’

President Biden last week signed an executive order terminating the construction of the wall on the southern border, issuing a 100-day “pause” over the deportations of illegal immigrants.

“We have no idea who these people are,” Martinez said. “And they are not going to be detained. They will be released into our communities, just as they were released into my community when I was a young girl.”

Martinez also reprimanded Congress for their absence from U.S. immigration policy. “We have had enough time to come together and reform the immigration laws. They do not want to because they want the division.”

SUSANA MARTINEZ: We have the same problems as at the beginning of President Trump’s administration, where there was not enough wall; there were not enough tools to ensure that our borders were protected. The fence was a piece of the security of our country. We are not a nation without our borders. I think it is very wrong to stop the construction of the border because of the thousands and thousands of people who are invited to come to the United States to become citizens of the United States …

I know these issues daily. I know the people who are already accusing people from Honduras, El Salvador, and asking them to bring them to the U.S. border. This is a humanitarian issue, but also a security of our country …

That is why we have three branches of government and there are court orders saying that these people who are criminals should be deported. Send them back to their countries of origin. By striking a pen, the president has now said no, we are not going to send them back. What is the point of the three branches of government if you can not comply with court orders?
