Almost exactly one year after production was forced to stop due to the global outbreak of the coronavirus, The flash is officially back on our screens, and tonight’s premiere was quite a hectic hour when Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his team launched a dangerous plan to get the artificial speed force up and running, which eventually resulted in had Nash (Tom Cavanagh) make the ultimate sacrifice.
While things now look grim for all the Wellses, showrunner Eric Wallace has confirmed TV lightning that Cavanagh is not leaving the series.
“Fans of Tom Cavanagh, you should keep watching this show. ‘Just because someone’s dead does not mean they do not have enough to do.”
Next week’s episode will pick up almost immediately after tonight’s premiere with us to learn more about the fate of Iris’ (Candice Patton) email. Elsewhere, it looks like Barry will get a new superpower – speed thinking – which will undoubtedly be extremely helpful if he tries to save his wife from the MirrorVerse.
