In The flash # 768 Wally and Barry run at their top speed so the latter can break the connection with the Speed Force so he can retire safely. While doing so, they quickly defeated and apprehended three supervillains before the perpetrators first realized what was happening. The three villains are Bloodsport, Metallo and Orm, the Ocean Master. These villains posed difficult threats to Superman and Aquaman, and the ease with which the Flashes defeated them underscores their tremendous power and skill.

The most famous character using the name Bloodsport is Robert DuBois, known for shooting Superman with a Kryptonite needle that caused serious damage to the Man of Steel. Driven to madness by an obsession with the Vietnam War, DuBois is recruited by Lex Luthor for a plan to assassinate Superman. Luthor provided him with an extensive arsenal with which he slaughtered dozens of civilians in Metropolis. The Bloodsport that defeated Wally and Barry turns out to be DuBois.

The Metallo identity is used by many different characters, but the best known is John Corben, who is traditionally portrayed as a kind of criminal before an accident almost kills him. Corben is transformed into a cyborg with technology powered by Kryptonite, which makes him a particularly dangerous threat to Superman and other Kryptonic heroes.

Orm is the half-brother of Arthur Curry / Aquaman, although its origins have been changed several times over the course of its history to better suit the current portrayal of Arthur. As Ocean Master, Orm plans to take the throne of Atlantis from his brother, and he is probably the most important and iconic enemy of Aquaman, who only opposes Black Manta.

Barry and Wally are nowhere near as strong as Superman or Aquaman, and the fact that they were able to defeat enemies who were so dangerous to them is proof of how important the power of super speed really is.

It should be noted, however, that their counterparts are vulnerable to these characters in a way that the Flashes are not, which may explain why the latter heroes treated them so effectively. Bloodsport and Metallo’s Kryptonite specifically watch them fight Kryptonians more than any other heroes, and while fighting Orm Aquaman, they can be distracted by the intricate emotions of the fight against family, which Wally and Barry do not have to deal with. .
