The Fitbit Ace 3 is its latest fitness tracker for kids

Fitbit has introduced the third version of its Ace activity and sleep tracker for kids. Designed for children aged six and older, the Fitbit Ace 3 adds new animated clock watches, customizable accessories, and also claims eight days of battery life in a ‘swimming pool’ design with new color options.

In addition to the improved battery life, the Ace 3 has a brighter screen of 20 percent and contains the interference and sleep modes. The new animated watches – including a bunny, a cat, a Mars and spaceship design – change and grow as children progress towards their fitness goals.

The Fitbit Ace is designed to help children build healthy habits and increase physical activity. It also allows parents to track a child’s activity levels and how many hours they sleep. Axis trackers do not allow children to join the social aspects of the Fitbit app, where people share workout photos. Parents must create a Fitbit account for each child 12 years of age or younger to use Fitbit Ace models.

Like previous Ace models, the Ace 3 will have a pedometer, but not a heart rate monitor. The Ace displays fitness and sleep goals that are age-appropriate for children, and uses the same push notifications that standard Fitbit trackers use to get kids moving. The daily active minute goal on each Fitbit Ace 3 is set to the CDC-recommended 60 minutes, and the daily step count is set at 10,000.

The Fitbit Ace 3 costs $ 79.95, and later this summer it will have two Accessories tires with Minions, available separately for $ 29.95. It is available for pre-orders from today and is available worldwide on March 15th.
