The first things to set up in Windows 10

Whether you just unpacked a brand new computer if your software has recently been updated, when you first start your computer running Windows 10, there are some settings and presets you want to enable to ensure the best user experience.

First, sign in to your Microsoft account to sync your previous settings, and save the new settings you make in Windows 10. Then check for updates – if you just updated using an older version of Windows 10, you want to do so to make sure you have the latest version of everything. Sign up for the Windows Insider program to stay up to date with the latest features.

Here are the following round settings you want to convert:

  • Go to Show and adjust Nail mode to adjust the color temperature of your screen during dark hours.
  • Go to Notifications and actions to disable all those Microsoft alerts.
  • Go to Storage and switch on Save Sense to keep your system clean.
  • Once your apps are installed, go to Taskbar and “Choose which icons appear in the taskbar” to make everything look neat.
  • Likewise, go to Programs and click on Start-up to decide which programs start automatically when you start your computer, which should be only one or two at most.
