The first paid DLC of Crusader Kings 3 is Northern Lords with the Northern theme and it will appear on Tuesday • Eurogamer.net

Add new events, music, cosmetics and more.

Developer Paradox’s excellent medieval major strategy game Crusader Kings 3 gets its first installment of the paid DLC this Tuesday, March 16th – the Northern Lords Flavor Pack theme – and it’s accompanied on the same day by a significant free update.

As its name suggests, the Northern Lords Flavor Pack is a smaller offering rather than a full-fledged Crusader Kings 3 expansion, and is designed to make the era’s northern kingdoms – and the characters within – feel clearer.

For example, it will introduce a range of new cosmetics with a Viking theme, including new clothes and hairstyles for characters, plus new ships, units and holding models for the map.

There is also new music and a number of new events, decisions, legacies and innovations created specifically for those playing in the north for the region.

Crusader Kings 3’s Northern Lords Flavor Pack arrives with a free update for all players when it launches on March 16th. Paradox outlined all of its key additions, including winter as a new spell feature, random generation of poetry, and the ability to resolve disputes through extensive duels.
