Pokémon Day 2021 is extra special as it is the 25th anniversary of the franchise. The celebration will include many new brands, and one of these versions comes from Zavvi, who along with The Pokemon Company had an exclusive limited edition garment.
The Pokémon x Zavvi series starts with a collection box limited to only 2500 units. Each box contains a black hoodie, black embroidered socks, a white printed beauty bag and a black cap with a Pokémon 25-year-old Pikachu logo. There will also be a three-piece mini-series that includes a hoodie, white sweatshirt and yellow t-shirt. However, the crown jewel of the collection is the high top sneakers teased in the video below.
The 25-year-old Pokemon sneakers feature a handmade black-and-white Pikachu design with a yellow logo on the tongue. All of these items will be available on the Zavvi UK website (from the US) from 27 February. The release schedule is as follows:
- Pokemon Box Collection (12 hours UK time / 07:00 EST US)
- Pokemon Mini Collection (15:00 UK time / 10:00 EST US)
- Pokemon Signature Sneakers (18:00 UK time / 13:00 EST US)

Eventually, each Poke Ball will be packed in special presentation sleeves, complete with a numbered hologram for verification and multicolored lights that shine when someone opens the display case.
