Rumors from insiders in the film and TV industry suggest that Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls series may make a TV series to Netflix.
With a history of nearly thirty years, Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls series has become one of the most beloved RPG franchises in game history. The franchise has produced some of the most successful RPG games of all time Morrowind, Oblivion, en Skyrim the definition of three generations of the genre, and even a successful MMO spin-off in The Elder Scrolls Online, which has been growing even for almost seven years since its release. Now it seems that Bethesda is considering the world of The Elder Scrolls and Netflix.
This is according to a report by the TV and film industry Daniel Ritchtman. Richtman claims that Netflix wants the series to be as popular as the adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski in 2019 The Witcher, which also draws inspiration from CD Project Red’s iconic video game series. The series is expected to directly adapt the version of Tamriel fans familiar with the long-term video game franchise.
