Cover, Krispy Kreme. We have a new leader in the race for the most attention-grabbing vaccine promotion.
A bar in New Orleans has partnered with a local health care clinic to offer its customers a free vaccine shot right outside its bar – followed by a free drink inside. The Dragon’s Den, in the famous Frenchman Street in the city, is working with the Crescentcare Health Clinic to release the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on Friday night.
Visitors receive the one dose of Johnson & Johnson jab outside the bar, and are then brought in for a free drink.
More targeted vaccination campaigns like these – though not necessarily as creative – plan to be on their way to the city as supply begins to exceed demand. According to local news reports, Orleans Parish gave at least one vaccine dose to 38 percent of its population. Everyone 16 and older is now eligible for the jab in the state of Louisiana.
