With deep pain, the Cubano Institute of Art and Industry Cinematography informs that the director of photography, Raúl Pérez Ureta, has dropped out of high schools in La Habana.
Ureta conducted studies of Periodism, Cinematographic Specialization and Theatrical Actuation. Started working at the Institute in 1961 as an assistant in the animation chamber at the Department of Animated Animals. Posterior work as a camera assistant and sound grabber at the Latin American ICAIC Notice, has since 1965 commenced as a camaraderie and works in more than 800 semanial edition editions.
With time, Ureta devino photography and comedy director ‘n collaboration with important Cuban directors. Asimismo, I work with the orders of foreign filmmakers like Fernando Birri and Ruy Guerra.
His filmography includes titles such as Madagascar (Fernando Pérez, 1994), Amor vertical (Arturo Sotto, 1997), Suite Habana (Fernando Pérez, 2003), Perfecto amor equivocado (Gerardo Chijona, 2004), Los buenos demonios (Gerardo Chijona, 2017) and Insumisas (Fernando Pérez, 2018).
Professor at the International School of Cinema and Television of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV), member of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and of the Union of Periodists of Cuba (UPEC).
