The December 2020 patch confuses Pixel 3a screen angles

To those with the Pixel 3a, the December 2020 update seems to have shown strange things at the corners of your screen / screen.

We’ve recently seen an increase in camera complaints on select Google Pixel camera hardware, but it’s even more beautiful Android Police has found that complaints are growing about a strange screenshot introduced on the Pixel 3a following the December 2020 security fix – and the subsequent Pixel Feature Drop.

Let’s first say that it seems like a very minor matter that you may not have even noticed, but that it is noticeable from certain angles. Actually, since the December 2020 update, the reports have increased that the software masking of the Pixel 3a screen corners has been eliminated. It changes the normal soft curves in the corners angular or sharp if your device is held at certain angles.

It’s very, very small, but at the same time hard to ‘see’ if you noticed the small square edges on the corners of your Pixel 3a screen. You do not need to panic as this is definitely a software related issue that is likely to be resolved in a future update.

There are many complaints on the Pixel Phone Help Forums and the / r / GooglePixel subreddit of people experiencing this strange small screen problem. Many complain that the screen angles are only a pixel or two off, which makes it a little furious once you notice the problem – that is, if you are affected. User / u / nikkomercado shared a comparison that shows the problem quite clearly:

Neither the January nor February 2021 spots solved the problem for Pixel 3a owners, but should Google be aware of this funny little screen angle problem, we’re sure it’s solved. Please note that this issue does not affect the performance of your device, nor does it interfere with performance. It happens to look pretty weird. No other Pixel device seems to have the same issues, and it is not clear if the Pixel 3a XL will be affected.

Did you see any problems with the screen angles on your Pixel 3a or 3a XL? Let us know in the comments below if so. We & # 39; ve also reached out to Google for comment on this complaint and will update it should we receive an official response.
