The clinic used the Moderna vaccine that is made available to workers and residents who are eligible according to phase 1A of the guidelines for the distribution of vaccines. The phase includes the following groups: those at risk of COVID-19 by working in health care or long-term care facilities (including non-clinical staff), and residents of nursing homes, care facilities and long-term care facilities for the elderly. or vulnerable individuals.

San Mateo County Supervisors Board of Supervisors David Canepa announced the Mass Vaccination Clinic in a statement Monday. “This is the best news I’ve heard in a long time, and it shows that the dark days of winter will soon be over,” Canepa said. People interested in being vaccinated on the drive-through site must complete an online form to be eligible.
Registration and appointment information will be available once the suitability has been confirmed. The clinic will be open Monday from 13:00 to 17:00 and then from 09:00 to 17:00 from Tuesday to Saturday.
There are about 38,000 health workers and 12,000 long-term residents in the country. Canepa policy adviser Bill Silverfarb said about 12,000 people have been vaccinated so far from the province’s 22,000 vaccine allocation. It does not include workers in medical systems such as Kaiser Permanente or Sutter Health, which allocate separate vaccines. Silverfarb said the clinic is expected to continue as long as vaccines are available.
The second vaccination dose will be available within four weeks via a similar clinic. People in Phase 1A who have health plans through Kaiser Permanente can get the vaccine through their primary care provider at Kaiser.
San Mateo County said vaccinations are being offered to those in Phase 1a, who are currently providing patient care / services and who live or work in the country. Click here for more information on being eligible for Phase 1A vaccine. Click here for the testimonial form.
