PHOENIX – A second state COVID-19 vaccination site will open next month after a huge demand for the state’s first site at State Farm Stadium.
On February 1, Phoenix Municipal Stadium opens as a coronavirus vaccination site. Registration for appointments at the venue will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 9 a.m., according to a media statement from Governor Doug Ducey’s office.
Phoenix Municipal Stadium, located near the Phoenix Zoo on the corner of Mill Avenue and Priest Drive / Galvin Parkway, offers day appointments based on the availability of the vaccine.

The news comes as State Farm Stadium continues to see a large number of vaccine registrations, resulting in a full-blown January at the Glendale site.
More appointments for State Farm Stadium in February will also be available on Tuesday, January 19 at 9 p.m. They will also offer two-dose appointments, in addition to the current capacity for first doses, the media statement said.
The governor’s office says there are more than 200 vaccination sites that have received the vaccination in Arizona, including 45 community health centers.
For those who still want to register for a coronavirus vaccination appointment, it is alleged that health departments in the province are working to expand the availability on their websites.
The CDC’s retail pharmacy program will add up to 100 drugstores that can administer the vaccine over the next few weeks. Once the program is in full swing, more than 800 pharmacies in Arizona will be available for vaccines.
Nearly 190,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Arizona since Thursday morning, including 17,000 people who have completed both doses.
