The company will pay you $ 2400 to be screenless for 24 hours

It’s hard to imagine a life without screens these days … but what about 24 hours? One whole day without social media, email, video games or news.

One company is willing to pay you $ 2400 if you can swing it.

Reviews.org – a company that reviews products and services designed to make your home smarter – holds a ‘Digital Detox Challenge’, where lucky participants pay 24 hours to go 24 hours without technology.

Anyone in the US who is older than 18 and burnt out at work, doomscroll, binging, gaming and the like is encouraged to apply for the challenge.

The challengers selected by the company will receive a safe to store all of their technology during the 24 hours, along with a $ 200 Amazon gift card to create a ‘technological survival package’. The challenger will choose a day that will work for them to start their screenless 24 hours within a given period of two weeks.

Out-of-the-box technology does not include your microwave, but it does include cell phones, tablets, smartwatches, TVs, game consoles / handsets, computers or laptops, smart devices such as smart speakers or smart vacuum cleaners, and any portable technology.

At the end of the 24-hour period, challengers will submit screen time reports to prove that they have not touched their screens all day.

Do you think you can handle the challenge? You can apply for the 2021 Digital Detox Challenge here at Review.org. Applications are open on March 26 at 15:00 EST and challengers will be selected on March 29.

It is unclear exactly how many people will be selected to take part in the challenge.
