‘The Boys’ spinoff at Amazon is approaching a series order. Furthermore, Lizze Broadway and Jaz Sinclair joined the ensemble cast.
The project was first announced to be developed in September. The untitled series is an honor with an R rating that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they set their physical, sexual and moral configuration. limits on trial, and compete for the best contracts in the best cities.
Broadway will play the role of Emma, a young superhero. Her previous TV credits included ‘The Rookie’, ‘Bones’, ‘Southland’, ‘Splitting Up Together’ and ‘Here and Now’. She is fascinated by Coast To Coast Talent Group and Industry Entertainment.
Sinclair plays Marie, another of the young superheroes. She recently starred in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” on Netflix. Her credits for this included ‘Rizzoli & Isles’, ‘Easy’ and ‘The Vampire Diaries’. She is awarded by UTA and Creative Partners Group.
Like ‘The Boys’, the spin-off is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios. Craig Rosenberg will serve as the forerunner and executive manufacturer under his overall agreement with Sony. He is currently a writer and executive producer of ‘The Boys’. Eric Kripke, producer of The Boys, will also deliver executive production via Kripke Enterprises, along with executive producers of The Boys, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver of Point Gray Pictures, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film, Garth Ennis, and Darick Robertson. Ennis and Robertson created the cartoon on which “The Boys” is based. Sarah Carbiener, Erica Rosbe, Aisha Porter-Christie, Judalina Neira, Zak Schwartz are co-executive producers.
‘The Boys’ appears to be a hit for Amazon, with a renewal of the third season before the second season premiered. According to Amazon, the second season had the world-famous worldwide launch of an original Amazon series ever.
