The old guyIn the opening week of season 25, there were very deep and meaningful investigations into racial and cultural expectations – and producers cut it quickly and conveniently in Week 2. Mentioned that Matt James was the first Black Bachelor, it became irrelevant on Monday night to establish the main competitors of the commercial real estate agent. and strengthens Victoria as the villain of this season. And can we talk about Victoria for a moment?
Matt (28) surely sees through the character of this self-proclaimed ‘Queen’. Obviously, Matt himself did not see how brutally Victoria provoked when he chose Bri (24) for his first one-on-one date (or more on that later), or how Victoria bumped heads with Jessenia (27) after he loudly and unnecessarily proclaimed her jealousy of Bri. But he done see how Victoria (27) forced him to take a wedding photo with him during the group outing. And that kiss she planted on him borders on assault. Victoria also became visibly upset when Matt later gave the group date to Lauren, the 29-year-old Miami lawyer, who shares Matt’s love for the Lord.
How could Matt have missed Victoria’s glamor and glamor? But he had to have it, because when she approached him the next night at the cocktail party, he believed her hyperbolic allegations that Marylynn was a ‘poisonous manipulator’ who had bullied her. Of course, such admissions arrived conveniently after Matt gave Marylynn, 28, her favorite orchid as a loving gesture, but it also does not appear that Matt saw the timing of it.
For a guy who is shrewd enough to remember a woman’s favorite flower and sees that Sarah (24) had a family issue that bothered her during his other one-on-one date, he definitely misses a lot. Which is dit, producers? Is Matt sensitive and intuitive … or selective? Victoria is undoubtedly a plant, but it would be nice if her ‘role’ in the program was not so annoying. By the time Victoria destroyed the atmosphere of the cocktail party, the whole atmosphere of the episode was affected and Sarah disappeared from the tension and interrupted Matt’s ability to send Victoria or Marylynn or both home.

Matt’s best moment
That said, Matt had some fun high notes. This includes not having one, but two bubbles with two very different but very promising participants. The first romantic week arrived during his first date with Bri. The two became dirty and flirtatious on an ATV and ended the muddy outing by jumping into a wooden bath. Because he needs firewood, Matt naturally takes off his shirt (swymel) so that he could cut a stump in half. Hmm. The whole hot tub is powered by two small matches? OK. Anything for another one of Matt’s helpless moments, we think. Oh, and there were a lot of bath kisses kissing.
The two ended the date with an intimate meal where Bri talked about the difficulty of growing up without her father taking an active role in her life, something Matt says he knows all too well. They kissed during the meal and kissed a few more at a fireworks display for two. Well, the other women could see the fireworks too, but they could not make out with Matt while they watched, like Bri.
The second memorable exchange was during Matt’s date with Sarah. First, the two enjoyed a breathtaking view of Pennsylvania forestry from the front seat of a twin-plane, and then enjoyed a romantic picnic. As he chatted, Matt felt that there was something Sarah had not told her about her father. So, Sarah unknowingly decides to tell Matt about her father’s heartbreaking battle with ALS during dinner. An enlightened Matt thanks Sarah for her honesty and defenselessness and kisses the two and ends the night in an old-fashioned hot tub, without firewood.
Matt’s worst moments
Matt falling into Victoria’s lie web was definitely a low point for the North Carolina born. But his kiss with Lauren with his eyes open feels whimsical. Close your eyes, Matt. Let us believe that you love this woman.
This week’s train wreck moment
Whatever the match was on the group date, it takes the cake for the most hackneyed moment of the show. Was it supposed to be football with fights with wet paint and cake throwing? Already a wedding dress… ?? Sigh. It was a lot.
Bachelorette stock falls
It’s hard. It’s tempting to keep Victoria going because she’s terrible. That said, it looks like Matt almost forgot about Khaylah, 28, his hometown girl in North Carolina. The health care lawyer interrupted a romantic moonshine in the cargo bed of a pickup truck in Week 1, but did not find time alone with Matt during Week 2.
What did you think of Week 2 and the progress of Matt’s commitments?
