Did you know that there is a specific kind of dynamic quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that the vast majority of players will probably never see? They are called ‘Avenge’ guests, and this is activated when Eivor encounters the corpse of a fellow Viking in the open world.
These bodies represent other Valhalla players who have been killed in their own game by a nearby enemy. After examining the corpses, you have the task of hunting the enemy, and once they are dead, you get some small rewards like XP and silver. Those of you who have played Assassin’s Creed Origins may remember that the title contains the same online search.
But again, the problem here is that these are revenge missions extremely barely in Valhalla, to the point where players have been asking if they’ve just been completely overwhelmed since the launch. And as it turns out, they are. The development team has again updated its official list of known issues with the game, and ‘revenge guests can not be found anywhere’ is now being ‘investigated’.
With any luck, revenge missions in the near future will eventually work as intended, adding a little more spice to Eivor’s adventure. Dare we ask if you’ve ever seen the body of another player? Put your thirst for revenge in the comments below.
