On March 11, 2011, a powerful 9.0 magnitude earthquake shook Japan and followed a tsunami that killed dozens of people and people. The move also caused deaths at a nuclear plant, provoking a ‘triple disaster’ that killed at least 20,000 people and more than a million displaced people.

The massive tsunami inundated more than 200 million square feet of coastal land. It is estimated that the olas are 124 pieces (38 metros), the height of a 12-piece floor.
