Neverwinter
Neverwinter bring the Dungeons & Dragons experience on a large scale to players. An MMORPG that can be played for free in the D&D universe, Neverwinter enables players to create a character and take part in the most extraordinary adventures that the tabletop has presented with friends. There is so much to explore new players, and with a constant player base and new content being added regularly, it will surely fulfill anyone’s desire for a living world in the Forgotten Realms. The fact that it can be experienced with friends and a community is just a icing on the cake. Neverwinter is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Baldur’s Gate III
With his previous game, Divinity: Original Sin II, Larian Studios tried to create something that looks like a Dungeons & Dragons game without the D&D license. The result was an excellent turn-based RPG that gives players a lot of freedom to explore an open world in their own ways, similar to a tabletop campaign. Now Larian is working on Baldur’s Gate III, the sequel to the BioWare classic.
Still a work in progress, Baldur’s Gate III is currently in early access for fans eager to get their hands on the next installment in the legendary series. While it undoubtedly still needs polishing, there is no better modern analogue for video games. Dungeon & Dragons fifth edition as this. Players create their own character, award feature points, choose game plus abilities, and join forces with a colorful crew of unique companions as they engage in Mind Flayers plans for world domination.
Choices matter – in addition to good luck with dice rolls – as players deal with the world in the same way Divinity: Original Sin II. Larian Studios has already made it clear that the game will be more robust, and that several features will be added to the title as it gets closer to an official release.
