Almost every Buick model was lower in sales last year in the U.S., and big time also with double digit losses to Enclave and Encore together with large losses for discontinued models such as LaCrosse, Regal and Cascada. However, there was at least one bright spot with the Envision, which saw a modest 5 percentage profit.
The 2021 Envision is the second generation of the compact crossover / SUV type thing. It looks pretty good! Buick sent our outdoor photos over the summer and this week we gave the rest of the set, including interiors. The inside looks like a Buick:
The Envision is powered by a four-cylinder in line with 228 horsepower. This car is not designed for off-road driving, just pure, slow comfort, from driveways to parking lots. One interesting and very 2021 feature on the two top trim models is an air ionizer.
Five-passenger seats are standard, with the 60/40 split second row offering the ability to fold flat with the boot floor, for a virtually seamless transition with the backrest and a minimal gap between them. The Envision is located between the smaller Encore and Encore GX and the larger Enclave and has 52.7 cubic feet6 cargo space behind the first row seats and 25.2 cubic feet6 behind the second row of seats.
A range of seating arrangements are available in light and dark color themes, including perforated leather on Essence. Heated front seats are standard on Essence and available at Preferred.

- Rear seat reminder8 is standard on all finishes
- Panoramic power moon roof is available on Essence and Avenir
The Envision starts at $ 32,995, and although I do not see that it will save Buick in America – probably it can be nothing at this point – remember that the Buick brand is mainly held in China at this point, where Buick has many Buicks sell and where the There is provided.
