The 15 best CES devices you can buy now (2021)

In many ways, CES 2021 was different from what we had attended in the Gear team before. Instead of running around in Las Vegas picking up all that stuff and getting seriously dehydrated, we sat at home and watched the briefing on Zoom. But CES is still the festival to spend money on. It’s designed to suit your first desires – whether it’s for an excellent play chair, an affordable laptop, or just a machine to squirt out a few servings of delicious ice cream. This is our favorite exhibit at CES that you can buy now to scratch the itch.

  • Moft Snap-On Stand for $ 30: I want it. This snap-on holder keeps your iPhone in portrait, landscape or ‘floating’ mode and has space to hold three cards. We also included it in our guide to the best accessories for the iPhone 12.
  • Moto G Play for $ 170: Motorola has refreshed its budget phone, which we liked a lot. The updates are quite small, but the price is still low. Read our guide to the best cheap phones for a more in-depth look.
  • Tap (free): This small, useful app is the first product of a company working on a 100 percent private ‘next word prediction engine’. The distinctive honeycomb keyboard claims to reduce typing errors to 80 percent.
  • MaskPhone for $ 50: If you wear a mask in public and take calls, you may need a (possibly too-engineering) mask with an N95 filter, a built-in microphone and attached earbuds. Or, you know, maybe not. Check out our guide to our favorite masks if you want some more options.
  • V-Moda M-200 ANC for $ 500: We did not get the chance to try these expensive headphones in person, but V-Moda has never let us down before. We expect this new model from the design-forward venture to be one of the best noise-canceling headphones of the year.
  • JBL Reflect Mini NWC TWS Earplugs for $ 150: JBL’s latest exercise buttons have a reflective strip for people who would like to be outside in the evening or at dusk. They are also noise-suppressing and have an IPX7 waterproofing. We also did not get the chance to try it, but we like other JBL buttons.
