A series of text messages between two British teenage lovers, according to the report, quickly show how the relationship quickly led to murder.
Matthew Mason, 19, was convicted last week of the murder of his 15-year-old lover Alex Rodda after Rodda exposed their relationship with Mason’s girlfriend, according to a report in The Sun.
“You have to tell your gf the truth Matt because I already have it,” Rodda wrote in a text message.
Mason killed the schoolboy on December 12 in a remote stretch of forest in Cheshire, near Manchester, in the north-west of the country.
The killer lured his lover under the “pretext of sexual activity” before washing him in cold blood with a wrench, court documents read.
Their six-week relationship quickly unraveled after Rodda, who was openly gay, threatened to expose Mason, who had a girlfriend and lived on a farm with his millionaire parents. Rodda also threatened to upload sexually explicit photos to his social media account.
