Texas QB Sam Ehlinger was unavailable for the second half against Colorado

The Texas Longhorns will be without senior quarterback (Sam Ehlinger) for the rest of the Alamo Bowl game against the Colorado Buffaloes, as Ehlinger left the game due to a shoulder injury.

The senior captain was looking to win the fourth game of his career before leaving the game. He passed 160 yards on 10 finishes and gave up an attack in the first half. Ehlinger finished the last ride of the first half, but Casey Thompson came out for the first ride of the second half, a two-game game for the Longhorns.

The sophomore with a red dress put off the Longhorns’ first ride with a 13-yard pass to Joshua Moore to give Texas a two-point lead.

Now Ehlinger will have to make a decision about his future after failing to complete the final game of the 2020 season and perhaps his career.
